A personal Forgejo instance. Accounts are not opened from the public internet. HTTPS git uses the Cloudflare edge. Native git SSH uses a separate origin hostname because Cloudflare’s proxy does not carry SSH.

Clone endpoints

HTTPS

Web and git over 443

Forge URLhttps://git.sbdmfp.dev/

Use HTTPS remotes under this hostname. Browsers and git clone https://… go through Cloudflare to Traefik.

SSH

Native git SSH

SSH hostssh.git.sbdmfp.dev

Port 22817. This name is DNS-only (not orange-clouded) so it resolves to the origin. Example:

Host ssh.git.sbdmfp.dev
  Port 22817

Why two hostnames

Web and transport have different edges.

HTTPS web traffic and Git clones use the proxied hostname. SSH cannot travel through Cloudflare’s ordinary HTTP proxy, so native Git SSH uses a separate DNS-only hostname and port.
